New to define a new Date
Format.

Specify this information:
- Date Code
- The name of the user-defined date format. Once the date
format is defined and configured, it can be then used in the lottable
validation screen.
- Description
- The Description of the Date Format
- Example
- Once the
date format is completely defined, user can enter an example date in the new
format and then click TEST to
see if it can convert successfully to regular date format.
- Converts To
- The conversion result of the example date format after it has
been converted successfully.

- Date Element
- The Date element being defined:
- Day: Portion of
the date which defines Day
- Month: Portion
of the Date which defines Month
- Year: Portion of
the date which defines year
- None: Does not
define Day, Month or the Year
- Begin
- The beginning position of the element in the date format
- End
- The ending position of the element in the date format
- Field Type
- Is this element character of numeric
- Date Type
- The type of Date:
- Gregorian: is
the element in regular date format like MMDDYYYY
- Julian: the
number of days since the beginning of the year. Day and month is derived from
this
- Custom: Custom
date element. Applicable for Month only. Example JAN for 01, FEB for 02 etc
- Custom
- Clicking Custom is displayed a new window to define custom
format for month element.
- How To Process
- Determine how this particular Date Element is processed:
- Conversion: Date
element will be converted
- Validation: No
conversion will be done on the date element. Instead following validations will
be performed:
- Character or
Numeric validation as defined in the Field Type
- Position
validation as defined by the Begin and End positions

Save to save all entered information.
Example of some Date Formats:
A03108 translates to the date of
January 31, 2008. The first character A is for
validation purposes only.
