Inventory adjustments
This section discusses the process for performing a negative or positive adjustment of inventory on the Inventory Adjustment screen.
If the item being adjusted is configured for end-to-end serial number capture, specific information for the serial numbers being adjusted must be maintained to complete the adjustment.
To perform this type of adjustment, access the Inventory Adjustments screen and input all information as described in the Infor WMS Capture Weight, Serial Number, and Data User Guide. When you update the Adjustment Quantity or Target Quantity, additional information is displayed that lists the serial numbers that are associated with that inventory record. This will only display if the item is configured for end-to-end serial number tracking.
If you make a negative adjustment to inventory, that is, if you decrease the quantity, you must remove the serial number records. Click the checkbox for the desired records and click
. This action updates this information:- Adjustment Quantity with 1 to indicate the quantity that will be adjusted from inventory for that record.
- Selected Quantity for the
adjustment with the quantity corresponding to the selected records.
Verify the Selected Quantity matches the Adjustment Quantity. The adjustment cannot be completed if these do not match.
- Click . The record is no longer active, indicating that the adjustment has been processed and cannot be changed.
If you make a positive adjustment to inventory, that is, if you increase the quantity, you must add the serial numbers to the inventory records. Click
. A pop-up screen is displayed that allows you to input the serial number. When input, the system will validate that the format for the serial number matches the item requirements. Click on the pop-up to add the serial to the adjustment and close the window. This action updates this information:- Adjustment Quantity with 1 to indicate the quantity that will be adjusted into inventory for that record.
- Selected Quantity for the
adjustment with the quantity corresponding to the added record.
Verify the Selected Quantity matches the Adjustment Quantity. The adjustment cannot be completed if these do not match.
- Click . The record is no longer active, indicating that the adjustment has been processed and cannot be changed.
