Workstation serial transactions

Receiving

The warehouse has the option to capture weight, serial, or other data as the item is received and/or picked. See Capturing weight, serial, and data during receipt overview for detailed information on using the workstation to capture serial number information at receipt.

Inventory Moves

A move refers to the movement of stock from one location to another in the warehouse. When serialized product is moved, the specific serial numbers must be identified to ensure inventory remains accurate.

Adjustments

When inventory is being adjusted and the item is configured for end to end serial tracking, specific information for the serial numbers being adjusted must be maintained to complete the adjustment.

Internal Transfers

The inventory transfer allows the warehouse to change the characteristics of an item, such as lot number, and transfer the ownership of an item from one owner to another. The inventory transfer creates a receipt transaction and a shipment transaction in the inventory module.

Cycle Counting

The warehouse has the option to capture weight, serial number, or up four additional data elements in user-defined data fields.

Picking

Specific serial number must be recorded as part of the pick process for items defined for end to end serial tracking. For detailed information on applying serial numbers on the workstation for picks, see Capturing weight, data, and serial numbers during picking overview.
