Configuration Relationships

The flow chart shows the relationships between the different configuration tasks.

Some of the Billing configuration data is pre-loaded on the system, such as default units of measure and standard Charge codes. For these types of records, you’ll need to review the data provided with the system and determine if you need to create any additional records or modify the system defaults.

Other data is created from the associated WMS, such as billing facility, item group, partner group, carrier group, location group records. With these record types, you must either update the records with billing-specific values (such as the Facility and item group records), or review the records and determine how they should be used with billing.

Finally, some data types are so unique to your own billing process that you’ll need to create some records from scratch, such as Billing Event groups, Rate groups, and customer contracts.
