Receiving lottables using the RF device

You can receive lottables using an RF device. Based on the item specified in the ITEM field, the application checks the Lottable Validation configuration and returns all visible lottable fields for that record. In addition to the lottable field to capture, the text description for each lottable field is displayed using the lottable validation configuration. See the Lottable Validation section in the Infor WMS Configuration User Guide for more information on defining the lot information

To handle receiving lottables using an RF device:

  1. Follow steps 1-13 in RF Receiving.
Note:  Based on the item specified in the Item field, the application checks the Lottable Maintenance table and returns all visible and required lottable fields for that record.
  2. Specify the lot information in the corresponding fields.

The application verifies whether any lottable fields require validation. If none do, the application allows the receipt and the Received Quantity on the RF screen increases by one. The text description for each lottable field can be defined on the Lottable Validation configuration screen. See the Infor WMS Configuration User Guide for more information on defining the lottable validation.

    Note:
    • The text description for each lottable field to be captured can be defined on the Lottable Validation configuration screen.
    • If a date format is to be specified instead of an actual date, it must be defined in the Date Format configuration and then specified in the Lottable Validation configuration.
    • Lot Masking rules allow the system to calculate the value that should be used to populate in the appropriate lottable field. The methods available for capturing the lot attribute can be:
      • Blank by default - manually input with no lottable masking.
      • Blank by default - masking defined but user can use F5 key to have the system calculate the value.
      • Masking calculated and displayed to user.
      • Masking calculated and captured automatically without displaying to the user.

For additional information on setting up date formats, lottable capture validation, and shelf life checks, see the Infor WMS Configuration User Guide.

    • If you specify data into a Lottable field and a data format validation is selected, the application verifies whether the date is in YYMMDD format. If the validation fails, an error message displays.
    • If you specify data into a Lottable field and Minimum Shelf Life validation is selected, the application performs a check on the date specified to ensure that it passes the Minimum Shelf Life rules. If the validation fails, an error message displays.
  3. If you press Y, the receipt is completed.
  4. If you press N, you are returned to the previous screen where the receipt information was specified.
  5. Do one of the following:
    • To cancel the receipt, press Esc.
    • To attempt to validate the same data, press Enter.
    • Change the date information and press Enter to check the shelf life and complete the receipt.

When all lottable fields have been validated or overridden, the Main RF Menu screen is displayed. The Received Quantity tally increases by one.
