Creating activity types

To create a new activity:

  1. Select Configuration > Productivity > Activity Configuration.
  2. On the toolbar, click New.
  3. Enter a name for the activity.
  4. Enter a brief description of the activity.
  5. In the Duration field, enter the amount of time in whole minutes for the activity. Only enter the duration if this activity has a set duration of time
  6. Select an Activity Type.
    • Direct - activities that directly relate to the storage and distribution of goods.
    • Indirect - activities such as supervision, breaks, meetings, etc. that do not relate to storage and distribution.
  7. Specify this information:
    Supervisor Only
    Select this check box if only a supervisor can use this type of activity.
    System Only
    This check box is selected if the activity was automatically created by the system. You cannot maintain this setting.
    Paid
    Select this check box if this a paid activity.
    Enable Grab Quantity
    Select this check box to enable the grab/reach quantity functionality. If this check box is not selected, the reach quantity is set to zero (0) regardless of the grab quantities configured on the inventory pack or productivity activity.
  8. If the Activity will be tracked for Billing, click the Owner Billing tab. Billing details are specified at the Owner level. Add Owner Billing rows as needed.
  9. To specify the grab quantity options, click the Grab Quantity tab. Click New to specify the cubic volume and weight boundaries, and the grab quantity.
  10. Click Save. The new activity is now available to supervisors and associates when they report their time unless the activity is defined as System Only. Activities that are flagged as Supervisor only are not available to non-supervisors.
