Post-pick validation configuration

To configure post-pick validation routines:

  1. Select WMS > Configuration > Validation Rules > Outbound. The Conditional Validation screen is displayed in List view.
  2. Perform one of the following:
    • To display a list, use the Search feature.
    • To create a new record, click New.
Note:  The only edits allowed to the default post-pick validation routine are to enable or disable the validations.
  3. If you add a new record, specify this information for each validation type:
    Customer
Party to whom the item is delivered.
    Owner
Owner of the item to be validated.
    Item
    Item to be validated.
Note:  The Customer, Owner, and Item fields are not required for the default record. However, all three fields are required when you add a new record.
    Type
Validation type for the record. Select Post-pick Validation from the pop-up menu.
    Minimum Shelf Life
Minimum number of days the customer allows between the current date and either the expiration date or the manufacturing date for the item being shipped. This number is compared with the calculated number to determine if the validation passes or fails.
    Enabled
Determines whether the Validation Routine screen is validated by the application. If set to No, the application does not validate this record.
    Default
Displays Y for default records created by the application, and N for any records you create.
  4. Specify this information:
    Validation Routine
Validation routine that the application should follow. Select a validation routine defined within the table in Post-pick validation routines.
Note:  When using the Check Lot routine, you must modify the prompts.ini file to require that the lot be entered on an RF device.
    Enabled
Indicator that enables the validation routine if selected. Only enabled routines are considered by the application when processing validations.
    RF-directed Picking
Indicator that allows consideration of RF-directed pick tasks in the validation routine if selected.
    RF-assisted Picking
Indicator that allows consideration of RF-assisted pick tasks in the validation routine if selected.
Note:  Of the six routines available, Shelf Life Comparison is the only routine that works with both RF-directed and RF-assisted picking. The remaining routines work with RF-directed picking only.
  5. The application enters information into the following fields:
    Validation Key (header)
Gives the validation a unique identifier, which you can override.
    Sequence (detail)
Determines the sequence of the validation routines that the application should follow. The sequence starts with one, and cannot be edited.
  6. To add another detail record, click New.
  7. Specify information into the fields as described in steps above, and select a new Validation Routine.
  8. Click Save.
