Performing a cluster pick by route

The cluster pick by route option allows you to search the picks based on Route ID and assign them to complete the picking for all the picks associated to the route. If you are using a barcode scanner to pick tasks, refer to Using barcode scanning for pick by route.

  1. Select Picking from the RF device Main Menu. The Pick Menu (PM1) screen is displayed.
  2. Select Cluster Picking. The Cluster Pick (TM20) menu is displayed.
  3. Select By Route to specify the route ID. The screen Enter Route (TM81) is displayed.
  4. Specify this information:
    Area
    This field is optional. Specify a specific area to find open pick tasks. If this field is blank, the tasks are processed for all of the areas.
    Route
    Specify the route ID for the pick tasks.
    Seq (Sequence)
    Specify the sequence that will sort the picks. Reverse Stop will sort the picks in descending order and Stop will sort in ascending order.
  5. Press Enter. The Cluster Summ (TPKSUM) screen is displayed showing the results from the route ID.
  6. Press Enter. The Pick by Route (TPKR1) screen is displayed that shows the first pick task information. Refer to New case ID for pick by route on how to choose a new picking container.
  7. After confirming the pick task information, press Enter. The Pick by Route (TPKR2) screen is displayed.
  8. Specify this information:
    From
    Specify the location from where the item is picked.
    Item
    Specify the item number.
    Lpn
    Specify the license plate number.
    Qty
    Specify the amount of items picked.
  9. Press Enter. If the quantity is equal to the expected quantity, the Pick by Route (TPKR3) screen is displayed.
    Note: 
    • When you enter a quantity less than the expected quantity, the Enter Rsn Code (TPKRR) screen is displayed. Enter a valid Reason for the short pick and press Enter.
    • If the quantity is greater than the expected quantity, the system will check if the Over Picking allowed flag is enabled. If the flag is enabled, the Pick by Route (TPKR3) screen is displayed. If the flag is disabled, an error message displays. Select Ok on the error message and the Pick by Route (TPKR1) screen is displayed.
  10. Specify this information:
    Case
    Specify the case ID of the pick.
    Lpn
    Specify the license plate number.
  11. Press Enter. The Pick by Route (TPKR4) screen is displayed.
  12. Specify this information:
    Ctype
    Confirm the carton type for the container of the pick contents. This must be a valid carton type.
    to
    Confirm the pick to location.
  13. Press Enter. The Pick Next Task (TM82) screen is displayed.
  14. Press Enter. The Pick by Route (TPKRT) screen will display the next pick detail information if the pick tasks for the current route ID are available.
    Note: The Picks Complete (PCM) screen will display if the pick tasks are not available for the route ID. Press Enter to display the Pick Next Task (TM81) screen where you can enter the next route ID for picking.
  15. Press Enter. The Pick by Route (TPKR2) screen is displayed and you can continue with the next pick task.
    Note: You can abort the current picking process by pressing the Esc button. The TM Pick (TM83) screen will display where you can enter a Reason into the field. Press Enter and the current pick is updated based on the reason code.
