Defining Breaks

To identify standard break periods for reference purposes, create each break on the Break tab. This information does not drive any planning functionality.

To define breaks:

  1. On the Shift page, select the Breaks tab.
  2. Click New to add a row to the Break list.
  3. Specify this information:
    Break
    The ID or name for the designated non-working time occurring within this work shift, for example, lunch break.
    Description
    A detailed description of this break.
    Start Time
    The time when this break starts in 24-hour format (hours and minutes, hh:mm).
    End Time
    The time when this break ends in 24-hour format (hours and minutes, hh:mm).
  4. Click Save.
