Editing list view screens

If your role includes the SCE Designer profile, you can make design changes to existing list view screens within the Infor WMS application. If a screen is editable, an active edit icon is displayed within the list view screen.

Active Edit icon -

To edit an existing list view screen in design mode:

  1. With the applicable screen displayed, click the Active Edit icon. The screen is displayed in form designer mode. The fields on the list view screen are displayed as widgets within the design mode form.
  2. Click Edit .
    • If another user is currently editing the screen, you cannot access the design mode. The design mode form is locked. Only one user at a time can access the design mode of a list view screen. A message indicating that a specific user is currently editing the screen is displayed. You cannot access the design mode until the other user exits the design mode or publishes the changes.
    • If the screen is not currently locked, you can begin editing the screen within the design mode. The Save and Reset buttons are available.
Note:  If you click Active Edit while editing in the design mode, the current changes are not saved and the design mode is closed.
  3. Complete the desired editing changes to the widgets within the design mode screen.
    • Hide widget: With a widget selected, you can hide or show a widget by selecting True or False respectively from the Hidden property list. (A selected widget is indicated by a red outline border around it.) You cannot hide the widget of a required field on the list view screen.
    • Read Only widget: With a widget selected, you can determine if the corresponding field on the list view screen is a read-only, non-editable field or an editable field by selecting True or False respectively from the Read Only property list. You cannot change the widget read only status of a required field on the list view screen. The Read Only property list values are not available if a required widget is selected.
    • List Personalization widget: With the widget selected, you can determine if the corresponding field is visible in the list personalization screen. Select True or False.
  4. Once you have completed all design changes and tested edited list view screens, click Publish.
    • The status of all corresponding records in the database table is updated to "Published".
    • The design mode form is no longer locked. Another authorized user can now access the screen for editing.
    • The edited widgets are displayed in green.
    • When you click Publish in a live production environment, the screen design changes are published to all Infor WMS application users within your organization.
    • Design mode forms are published at a tab level. For example, if two list view screens comprise the top and bottom screen portions displayed on a tab, design changes on both portions of the screen are published when you click Publish.

If you do not want to save or publish changes, click Reset and select one of the Reset options:

    • Reset To Last Save - When you select this reset option, the current changes you made to the screen are not saved. Note that the design mode form remains locked for editing by you.
    • Reset to Last Published - When you select this reset option, the current changes you made to the screen are not saved. In addition, the saved changes you made since you last published are removed from the system. Note that this reset option does release your editing lock of the design mode form; another authorized user can make changes to the screen.
    • Reset to Factory - When you select this reset option, all current changes, saved changes, and published changes are removed from the system. Note that this reset option does release your editing lock of the design mode form; another authorized user can make changes to the screen.
  5. Click Close.
    • If you have made changes to the screen since you last saved, a confirmation message is displayed prompting you to save the changes.
    • If you select Yes, the current changes are saved and the design mode form is closed.
    • If you select No, the current changes are not saved and the design mode form is closed.
    • The design mode form is no longer locked. Another authorized user can access the screen for editing.
