User interface overview

Infor WMS has two user interface formats:

  • A browser-based user interface for PC workstations
  • A terminal emulator interface for radio frequency (RF) devices.

Many of the same features are available on both user interfaces. The UI you use depends on your role in the organization, as well as the stage in the process in which you are performing a task. For example, an administrative employee can use Infor WMS on a workstation to create a new purchase order in an office. Meanwhile, a warehouse associate can use an RF device to enter receiving information for an incoming pallet on a loading dock.

To use Infor WMS on either a workstation or an RF device, you must have a valid user name and password. Your organization might limit access to some Infor WMS features or databases based on permissions granted to each user name.
