Performing an inventory inquiry

You can use the Inventory option to check and review inventory records associated with the item; you can also enter the alternate Item for this option.

Note: The application displays only records with balances greater than zero.

This section describes how to check current inventory levels by entering Owner, lot number, Item, LPN, Location, and Lottable information.

To perform an inventory inquiry:

  1. Display the Main Menu.
  2. From the RF device Main menu (M1), select Inv. Balances. The Inquiry Options (IQ) is displayed.
  3. From the Inquiry Options menu, select Inv Inquiry. The Inv Balances (IQ01) is displayed.
  4. Input one or more parameters to limit the search for inventory information. Some examples of how to use this screen are:
    • To view all detail inventory records for an item, input the item number and press Enter through the remaining optional fields.
    • To view all detail inventory records for a specific location, input the location number and press Enter through the remaining optional fields.
    • To view all detail records for a specific Item with a certain Lot Attribute (such as Manufacture Date), input the Item number and the attribute (MfgDt in this example) and press Enter through the remaining optional fields.

Note:  As previously mentioned the RF, screens can be modified for field display and sequence to meet business needs. This screen can be easily modified to only request information being used by the operation. For example, if lot attributes are not being used and there is only one product owner in the facility, the screen could be updated to only allow for input of Item, Location, or License Plate.

The Inquiry Result (IQ02) screen shows detail inventory information based on the selection parameters you requested.

  5. This screen displays a separate page for each inventory record found. The count of the number of records can be seen at the top part of the result screen. To scroll through the list of records, use the 6 key to move forward and the 4 key to move backwards.
Note: This screen can also be easily modified to display the data elements critical to the information being used by the operation.
  6. To return to the Inventory Balances (IQ01) selection screen, press Esc.
  7. To return to the Inquiry menu (IQ), press Esc again.
