Inventory holds and generating RF-directed physical inventory counts

This section describes how to put inventory on hold before generating RF-directed physical inventory count records, and then removing inventory from Holds after the physical.

By placing inventory on hold for physical inventory counts, the operation can ensure the desired locations or zones are frozen and current inventory does not get inadvertently modified during the physical count.

  1. Select Execution > Cycle Count > Physical Control. The Physical Parameters is displayed.
  2. Placing inventory on hold and generating physical inventory tasks are based on a range of data. Specify this information:
    Owner – Start/End
    Search range for the owner of the item the associate is requesting to cycle count.
    Location – Start/End
    Search range for the location where the item is stored.
    Level – Start/End
    Search range for the level of the location.
    Zone – Start/End
    Search range for the zone to be counted.
    Area – Start/End
    Search range for the area to be counted.
    Show System Qty
    Determines whether the system quantity displays on RF tasks.
  3. Click Save.
