Allocating entire quantity received to multiple orders

If the entire quantity being received is allocated to multiple outbound orders, the entire license plate received is staged for picking.

The application directs the operator through the steps required to complete the opportunistic staging process.

Scenario:

  • Open orders eligible for opportunistic crossdock = 3
  • Quantity ordered on each order = 24
  • Quantity to receive = 1 pallet (72 units)

The standard process for this type of scenario is:

  1. Use RF receiving to receive 1 pallet (72 units).
  2. The OXDMV screen is displayed informing the operator that the entire license plate is allocated and must be moved to the opportunistic staging location defined for the owner (XDSTAGE).

At this point of the process:

    • All 72 units received are in the location where they are received (STAGE in this example).
    • 3 pick detail records are created, each for 24 units. These are picked from location XDSTAGE. The operator now moves the license plate to the staging location for opportunistic picking.
  3. Press Enter to confirm the move.

At this point of the process:

    • All 72 units are moved to location XDSTAGE and are ready to be picked.
    • If the owner is configured to create pick tasks for opportunistic crossdock, three pick tasks are created for the order quantity.
