Order sequence strategy configuration

To configure an order sequence strategy:

  1. Select Crossdock > Opportunistic > Order Sequence Strategy. The Opportunistic Order Strategy screen is displayed.
  2. Click New. The Opportunistic Order Strategy Detail screen is displayed in Form View.
  3. Under Priority Group 1, 2 or 3, select one of these options:
    • Shipment Order Number: Sequences the entire list of eligible order lines by shipment order number (low to high). If you select this rule, all eligible order lines are sequenced under this rule and assigned the specified priority.
    • Priority: Refers to the Priority field in the shipment order header. Specify the SO priority range (1-5). The range defined is used to sequence the eligible order lines that fall under this criterion and assign the priority level. Order lines are sequenced first by priority, then by quantity, and finally by order number.
    • Order Date: Refers to the Order Date field in the shipment order header. Specify the FROM and TO order date range by entering the number of days to be added or subtracted from today’s date. The FROM date is required to be an earlier date than the TO date. The range defined is used to sequence the eligible order lines that fall under this criteria and assign the priority level. Order lines are sequenced first by order date, then quantity, and finally by order number.
    • Requested Ship Date: Refers to the field titled the same way on the Shipment Order screen. Specify the FROM and TO date range by entering the number of days to be added or subtracted from today’s date. The FROM date must be an earlier date than the TO date. The range defined is used to sequence eligible order lines that fall under this criteria and assign the appropriate priority level. Order lines are sequenced first by requested ship date, then by quantity, and finally by order number.
    • Order Type Inclusion: Refers to the Order Type Inclusion field on the Shipment Order screen. This drop-down list displays the existing order type values defined in the system codes configuration. The defined order type value determines eligible order lines that are to be sequenced and assigned the priority level. This option sequences eligible order lines with the defined order type first by quantity, then by order number.
  4. Make the appropriate selections for the facility and click Save.
