Adding and Configuring Carriers

To interface with Infor SPS, you must add and configure carriers in WM. To add carrier and configure rating parameters:

  1. Select Configuration > Trading Partner > Carrier.
  2. On the General tab, check the Small Parcel System Carrier flag.
    The text "The Small Parcel Carrier: Select Carrier from SPS Parameters Tab" displays to provide indication to the user to make SPS selections on the SPS Parameters tab.
  3. Select the appropriate Carrier SCAC Code and Service Type.
  4. Go to the SPS Parameters tab.
  5. The code and service type must be one of the supported Small parcel carrier in Infor SPS or one of the LTL carriers configured in Infor SPS
  6. Specify this information:
    Small Parcel or LTL
    Specify whether Infor SPS considers the carrier as small parcel or LTL.
    Rating Weight Type
    Specify the weight to send to Infor SPS for rating. Please note that this is only used for Small Parcel carrier and not LTL.
    • Actual Weight: The actual weight the user enters is sent to Infor SPS from Check Pack screen.
    • System calculated weight: WM calculates the weight of the package based on the quantity and weight configured in the item master and carton.
