Defining inventory tracking for the owner

You can assign to an owner a default preference known as inventory tracking. This default indicates how inventory should be managed after case level receiving. Any ASN created by the owner contains inventory tracking that is defined as the default.

Inventory tracking has these options:

  • LPN. After it is received, the inventory is tracked by the outer license plate, usually attached to a pallet.
  • Case. After it is received, the inventory is tracked by the case identification number applied to each inner carton (Case ID).
