Receiving products with lot attributes

A lot attribute (also referred to as lottable) is a custom code representing a trackable product detail. An organization can configure lottable categories within the application and then assign a corresponding code to an item.

During RF receiving, the application displays lottable fields based on the item you specify or scan. When you transmit receipt data, the application determines if any of the lottable fields require validation.

If there are no lottable fields required to be input, the application accepts the receipt and the changes are reflected on the ASN record. If one or more lottable fields require validation, the application performs a validation check. Based on the data specified in the lottable fields, the application either processes the update or displays an error message.

During RF receiving, the application performs the following validation and conversion process.

  • The application confirms that all dates specified in lottable fields are in the correct format based on the Date Format and Lottable Validation configuration.
  • The application confirms that dates specified in lottable fields fulfill prescribed minimum shelf life requirements. Shelf life can be checked using either Lottable 05 (expiration date) or Lottable04 (usually manufacture date or receipt date).

For additional information on setting up date formats, lottable capture validation, and shelf life checks, see the Infor WMS Configuration User Guide.
