Quality control overview

RF quality control tote close is a feature that supports recording results from an audit of picking and consolidation activities. The auditor uses an RF transaction to record the results of the audit. Three user-defined fields allow the warehouse to define the information to record about each audit.

Picking errors are the most common reason for discrepancies between application inventory levels and physical reality. For this reason, most warehouse operations perform audits of picked goods to try to identify the pickers who need additional training. The auditor uses fields on the pick detail and drop ID records to support the recording of the picking audits and consolidation audits.

This function can also be used to inspect the quality of picked goods, and reject any damaged or poor quality product before shipping. Rejected quantities are unallocated from the order automatically. However, re-allocating rejected goods is not automatic. The warehouse must do this in the normal manner if deemed appropriate.
