Optimizing cluster assignment picking

You can optimize cluster picking functionality to group picks together and determine the pick vehicle (typically a cart) required to optimize the space on the pick vehicle. This type of pick vehicle typically has multiple positions available where picked items can be placed. Each container could contain all contents for multiple orders, a single order, or a portion of the picks required for an order. Once the orders have been picked, they can be shipped or can be repacked if necessary.

You can optimize the grouping of orders during the wave process for the purpose of having them clustered together and assigned a group ID. The groups can be picked under this ID. During the picking of these clustered orders, you can pick the items to a specific position within a cart or other type of equipment, and allow for the identification and tracking of these specific equipment positions.
