To consolidate orders on a wave:

  1. Click Action > Consolidate.
A pop-up screen is displayed that lists items from the wave that are eligible for consolidation. To be eligible, the item must have:
    • The Allow Consolidated Picking flag selected (On).
    • A total quantity ordered on the wave greater than or equal to the Minimum Wave Quantity.

    • If COMMINGLESPEEDLINELOC is not selected, only locations that do not have a current item assigned display. If the item is part of a different consolidated wave it is not available in the drop-down.
    • If COMMINGLESPEEDLINELOC is selected, all speed line locations are available to the user for selection.
    • Set Max Loc Quantity to specify a maximum quantity to place in the speed line location at any time. This limits the quantity replenished to that location.
  4. Select the items to consolidate.
This creates the assignment of the selected items to the designated speed pick locations. Allocation uses these locations to correctly drive picks to the appropriate speed pick location.
  5. Click Consolidate to group orders for consolidation.
  6. Click Action > Allocate to run the allocation process. If task manager picking is used, click Action > Release to create tasks for the speed line picks.
Note:  The allocation process sets the location for picking using to the speed pick location assigned on the consolidation screen. The system creates replenishments to move inventory from storage to the speed line location.
