Resolving cycle count errors

You can view the results of all RF cycle counts, and act upon counts that exceeded count or dollar variances. Counts that violated variance constraints have a status of Out of Variance. You can use the Out of Variance status as search criteria. When you review count records that are in error, you can choose to Post or Not Post the count.

To view RF cycle count results and resolve count errors:

  1. Select Execution > Cycle Count > Maintenance. The Cycle Count list view displays.
  2. Click the search icon to display all of the cycle count results; or select Out of Variance in the Status column drop-down list and click the search icon to display only the results that are out of variance.
  3. Select the applicable cycle count entry within the list. The Cycle Count details view displays.
  4. Update the cycle count status of a detail record and click Save.
    • If you update the status of the detail record to Posted, the system performs the adjustment and updates the inventory to the count in the cycle count record.
    • If you select the status of Not Posted, the system does not perform an adjustment.
    Note:
    • You should review and update errors daily to make it easier to view the errors generated from the next round of counting.
    • As with all Task Manager tasks, the user logged into the RF device must have permission to perform cycle counts (Configuration > Productivity > User).
