Physical count process

This section describes how a physical count operates to improve the accuracy of inventory at a facility.

Performing a physical inventory count

The Infor WMS Warehouse Management physical feature has three phases:

First, two teams (Teams A and B) perform complete physical counts. Once the physical counts are completed, they are compared and differences are recorded. The two counts are then reconciled.
Second, compare the reconciled physical count to the application count. Record the differences and reconcile the two counts.
Third, post the final reconciled count to the application.

Note:

When doing recounts, be sure they are performed by Team A; otherwise, any changes made are not posted.
The Physical Parameters option allows you to post a physical against a subset of the warehouse by owner, location, zone, or by area.
