Performing inventory actions within the Detail Inventory screen

Within the Detail Inventory screen, you can perform inventory actions or access the applicable screen to perform a transaction by clicking the Inventory Actions button and selecting the applicable action. You can:

  • Perform a move for single or multiple inventory records.
  • Adjust inventory or start an internal transfer for a single inventory record.
  • Put a license plate hold on single or multiple LPN inventory records.
  • Create cycle count tasks for single or multiple records.

From the Detail Inventory screen, click Inventory Actions and select:

  • Moves - Displays the Inventory Moves screen with the fields pre-populated with data from the record(s) selected in the Detail Inventory screen. You can select to move multiple records. See Performing a move on the Inventory Moves screen.
  • Adjustments - Displays the Adjustments screen with the fields pre-populated with data from the record selected in the Detail Inventory screen. Note that you can select only one record in the Detail Inventory screen for the Adjustments action. See Adding an adjustment.
  • Internal Transfer - Displays the Internal Transfer screen with the fields pre-populated with data from the record selected in the Detail Inventory screen. Note that you can select only one record in the Detail Inventory screen for the Internal Transfer action. See Performing a traditional inventory transfer for one inventory record.
  • License Plate Hold - Displays the License Plate Hold popup screen with the fields pre-populated with data from the record(s) selected in the Detail Inventory screen. You can place holds on multiple LPN inventory records.
    • Select the hold reason from the drop-down list. Required.
    • Specify any comments. Optional.
    • Click Save.
  • Create Cycle Count Task - When you select this action, cycle count tasks are created for the selected inventory records. You can select multiple records for the cycle count task. A message is displayed with the number of cycle count tasks that will be created. You can click OK to automatically create the cycle count tasks.
