Detail tab

  1. Specify this information on the Detail tab:
    Zone
Code that identifies the name of the zone. Required.
    Description
Text describing the zone; for example, Controlled substances pick zone. Required.
    Max Pallets per Item
Maximum number of pallets that can be put away for any one item (SKU) for this zone. Used during Putaway Strategy – Dimension Restriction of Fit by Zone Limit.
    Location Weight Sharing Max Percent
Maximum percentage of a location's weight capacity that can be shared with other locations. This field is used by the location weight capacity sharing logic to limit the amount of weight capacity that can be shared between locations. You can specify a numerical percentage from 0-100. For example, if you specify 10 percent, it indicates that each location in the zone can share a maximum of 10 percent of the location's weight capacity with other locations. Note that this field is only used when locations are configured to share weight capacity.
    Top Off

Top Off controls the locations that are considered for the Replenishment Top Off Report. When set to Automatic, all locations in the zone are considered as eligible for the aforementioned report. When set to None, locations in the zone are not considered as eligible for display on the Top Off Report.

    Default: Automatic.

    Note:
    • This feature was introduced with Dynamic Allocation and Picking, but applies to all locations within the zone, regardless of association with dynamically-allocated commodities.
    • To exclude reserve zones from printing, turn off the Automatic default by selecting the Blank option from the drop-down menu.
    Replenishment Hot Level

Minimum priority replenishment task (1-9) that is to be sent to users conducting replenishments in the zone. Tasks are sent based on priority level, but are restricted to the minimum level recorded in this field.

For example, if the Replenishment Hot Level is set at six (6), you only receive replenishment tasks up to a priority of six. Anything higher than six is not sent to a user.
This option can be set before performing dynamic allocation and picking.
    Positive Verification Method

Type of verification used during the confirmation of the location on RF tasks. Required.

    Options include:

    • Check Digit Verification
    • Location Verification
    • No Positive Verification
    Quantity Confirmation During RF Picks

Indicator that determines whether a quantity confirmation is automatically generated for that location. Used during all RF Picking.

    Options include:

    Default Pick To Location
Picks processed in locations assigned to the zone default to this Pick To location when the pick is performed. This field must be populated with a location type of either Pick To or Staged. Required.
    In Location
Staging location for inventory IN to the zone. This field was introduced for the Pick and Drop feature. A valid location must be entered in this field. If defined, the In Location represents the intermediate drop location that all items must pass through when going into a location in the zone. To enter information, use the Lookup feature to select a specific In Location. The In Location is required if cherry pick replenishment is used with the Pick and Drop feature.
    Out Location
Staging location for inventory OUT of the zone. This field was introduced for the Pick and Drop feature. A valid location must be entered in this field. If defined, the Out Location represents the intermediate drop location that all items must pass through when leaving a location within the zone.
    Note:
    • Use the Lookup feature to select a specific Out Location.
    • The Out Location is required if cherry pick replenishment is used with the Pick and Drop feature.
    Clean Location

Feature that allows you to group certain locations together into a zone where clean-out locations are needed. When selected, the RF Pick user is repeatedly sent to the same location until the location is cleaned out for the Item on order. Once the location is determined, the application disregards all other rotation rules and satisfies the remaining picks for that Item out of the selected location only.

    Note: This feature:
    • Works only when the check box is selected, and only applies to the location(s) that are configured with a specific zone.
    • Works only with Location Type fields that are set to Other. The Clean-out Location feature only corresponds to dynamically-allocated items in locations within a specific zone.
    • Can be set before performing dynamic allocation and picking.
    Selector Replenishment
Feature used when case pick selectors receive a replenishment task to complete an order when there is not enough quantity in the case-pick location to fill the order completely. When the selector gets to the location, the application automatically generates a replenishment task to the case-pick selector before the order can be picked.
    Note:
    • Works only for dynamically-allocated items. A warehousing environment might want selector replenishments tied to slow moving items that are grouped together in a single zone.
    • Can be set before performing dynamic allocation and picking.
