RF Picking strategy

RF Picking strategies allow the use of configuration to control some of the operator input on RF during the picking process for most picking types. The picking strategy drives control of key RF fields and the information expected as input for the fields.

You can use a user-defined RF picking strategy to configure and drive control of specific fields without requiring the use of separate RF software available or the use of customized coding.

The RF Picking strategy is assigned to a zone to drive the logic determining if fields should be displayed, confirmed, or not displayed during RF picking. Multiple detail records can be created for a strategy, allowing for different control based on specific types of picking within the same Zone.

The types of RF picking available for control with RF Picking strategies are:

  • Assignment Picking (this selection also applies to Clustered Assignments)
  • Cluster Pick by Order
  • Cluster Pick by Case
  • Cluster Pick by Wave
  • Cluster Pick by Load
  • Search Picks
  • Task Directed
Note: Dynamic Picking and Batch Picking are not controllable with RF Picking Strategies.
