Configuring Pack Codes

The following topics in this section cover the configuration options on the Pack Code screen.

Note: You can use the Excel Import and Export features to create or update packs. With the Import feature, you can import, at a minimum, only the fields required to create a pack; or you can import additional data into other Pack fields. With the Export feature, you can select to export all data for selected packs or only the data displayed on the list view. For additional information on the Import and Export features, see the Infor WMS Introduction and Navigation User Guide.

There are two levels in which you can add and define Pack code data: Enterprise and Warehouse levels. Pack codes and units of measure (UOMs) are crucial to theInfor WMS Warehouse Management configuration. These codes determine the measurements the application uses to track items in the facility.

Each pack code uses one or more UOM. A UOM is a type of quantity; the application treats a UOM as a component of a package. Customer requirements generally determine the UOMs in a facility. When configuring a pack code, all UOMs associated with the package must be identified and the UOM to use for tracking the items in that package should be specified as well. The UOM used to track an item is called the Master Unit Quantity.

Note: This application only supports Each Master Unit. To customize the Pack Master Unit portion, contact Customer Support.
