Configuring the application for batch picking to a grid
Specific configuration selections within the application are recommended for the batch picking to a grid functionality.

Item Department
When an item is configured, you must specify the Item Department value for the item to be linked to a department. The item department value is a required field within the sortation configuration for batch picking to grid.

Item Class
When an item is configured, you can also specify the Item Class. Item class is not required within the sortation configuration for batch picking to a grid; however, an item categorized by the item department can be further refined by also providing a value for the Item Class.

Flow Thru Task Control
You must select the Crossdock Put to Store value in this field to ensure the batch picking to a grid sortation process is initiated.

Grid Code
Click the Product Types tab and then select the applicable value for the Grid Code field. The selected value typically relates to the type of product serviced; for example, Frozen Foods.

Ship To Code/Ship To Group
On the detailed portion of the screen, specify the Ship To Code or Ship To Group field value to assign the Ship To/Ship To Group to the sort locations.
