Enhancements

Voice Tally picking and Countdown picking added

Voice pickers now have the option of using tally picking, countdown picking, and route picking logic in addition to traditional picking logic. This enhancement is designed for use with these Voice functions:

  • Function 3 for Normal Assignments
  • Function 91 for Pick by Order
  • Function 92 for Pick by Case ID
  • Function 90 for Picking by Route, which is new

New dialogs specific to Voice tally picking and countdown picking have been added. All existing pick dialog options, such as "New container," "How much more," etc. continue to function as usual.

The new Voice Tally Item Type check box has been added to the Outbound tab on the Item page. When selected, this check box along with settings in the Voice Task Package, determine for each item which Voice Picking dialog is used. These Voice dialogs are used for tally picking:

  • Lumber without any special picking instructions
  • Lumber with special picking instructions where random board lengths can be used to fulfill the total linear feet required
  • Lumber with special picking instructions where only specific board lengths can be used to fulfill the total linear feet required
Note: The term lumber is used to refer to boards of a specific type of wood consisting of various thicknesses, widths, edge types, and lengths. Information about what type of lumber needs to be picked may be specified in the shipment order's picking instructions. If these instructions exist, they are spoken to a Voice picker. The quantity to be picked for lumber is specified in the UOM of linear feet.

Create an ASN from RF by specifying the PO number

The Create ASN from PO# option has been added to the RF Receiving menu. You can now create ASNs in WMS directly on an RF unit by populating purchase order details for selected purchase orders. Once you specify the PO number in the PO #: field, the ASN is created. If you do not know the purchase order number, you can use the F2 button to search for purchase orders using RF unit. Once the purchase order number is found, you can create the ASN.

Export and Import functionality added for Returned Lots

This enhancement added Export and Import buttons to the Returned lots page. From the Facility > Outbound > Outbound Control > Returned Lots menu, you can use the exported Excel documents as a template to create new and validated Excel imports of Returned lot records. You can edit these fields:
  • Ship To
  • Owner
  • Item
  • Lot

You can then import the edited Returned lots records. When importing, you must specify a file name in the Description field and select the file to import by clicking the Choose File button. After you submit the import, you can go to Administration > Imports > Logs to view the import status.

New pop-up user defined fields and business objects added to Extensibility

With this enhancement, you can use pop-up user defined fields (UDFs) for some business information objects (BIOs) related to these pages:
  • Owner
  • Item
  • Pack
  • ASN Header
  • ASN Detail
  • Shipment Order Header
  • Shipment Order Detail
  • Internal Transfer Detail
  • Adjustment Header
  • Adjustment Detail

You can now view a list of options and filter them instead of having to scroll through the values of a drop-down user defined fields.

Location length expansion

The Location field length has been expanded to 50 characters. All database fields for locations have been updated including Door, Stage, Outbound Staging, and so on.

Carton weight validation for RF Packing

This enhancement adds validation for the To IDs for Packing. This validation ensures that the carton weight is not over the maximum weight assigned to the carton.

Two fields have been added to the Cartonization page; the Validate Carton Weight during Packing check box and the Packing Weight Tolerance Percentage field.

After user specifies a value in the Carton Type and To LOC on the RF Packing page, if the Validates Carton Weight during Packing is ON and the weight limit has been exceeded, the Weight entered is over the allowed maximum weight for the carton message is shown. You must specify an allowable weight; the system then checks the Validate Carton Weight during Packing flag, validates and then you can complete the packing process. If the checkbox is OFF, then no validation is required.

You can also specify a percentage in the Packing Weight Tolerance Percentage field or leave that field blank. If you leave it blank, it will be validated against the value in the Maximum Weight field. You can use a tare weight or include that weight in the maximum weight. If you are over the threshold percentage for the tolerance, the Weight entered is over the allowed carton weight threshold message is shown.

POST API enhancements for cycle count

At the facility level, these new POST API have been added: Cycle Count and Request to Count. The Request to Count API creates count requests based on parameters available on the Request to count page.
