Workstation support for summary weights
Receiving
The process to record summary weight information during receiving is covered earlier in this document. To summarize, the system will calculate the expected weight for the receipt based on the quantity expected and the weights configured for the item on the Summary Weight Capture tab on the Item master. The user can modify the expected weight information prior to saving the receipt with a quantity received.
Inventory moves
The impact on Gross, Net, and Tare weight can be identified during an inventory move. As the user enters the quantity to move, the system will calculate the expected weight information based on the percentage of the quantity on the current license plate that is being moved. The user has the ability to modify this weight if needed.
Adjustments
Inventory adjustments will calculate the expected impact on weights of the adjustment using the quantity adjusted. An adjustment will create a positive or negative inventory adjustment for both the quantity and weight information.
Cycle counting
Cycle counting also supports the ability to enter weights of the current inventory record if desired.
Picking
Specific information on using the workstation to record pick information is covered earlier in ths document.
Inventory balances
Inventory balances can be viewed at the Lot level and License Plate level with Gross, Net, and Tare weights. These options are found on the normal inventory balances screens but are contained in a separate view.
