Understanding the production cycle count task flow
Within Infor WMS, there are two flows for production cycle count tasks when the user specifies the location and item to initiate a production cycle count:
- The user enters a location and item to count on the Cycle Count TPC1 screen. The system checks if the item was previously counted on an LPN and remains in the location. If a production cycle count task does exist for the item in the location, the user proceeds to Performing production order cycle counts.
- The user enters a location and item to count on the Cycle Count TPC1 screen. The system checks if the item was previously counted on an LPN and remains in the location. If the item was not previously counted on an existing LPN, the system creates a new production cycle count task for the user to account for the additional inventory. See Creating a new production cycle count task and count for a new LPN.
In both of these flow scenarios, the item exists in the specified location. If the user enters an item and location combination and the item is not found in the location, the Blind Rcpt RC10N screen is displayed for the user to add the item to the location. See Adding inventory to production move that system identifies as zero (0) for information on the blind receipt flow.
