RF-assisted picking
RF-assisted picking means that the picker uses the RF device to update the status of the shipment order. The picker is in control of the picking order. For this reason, RF-assisted picking typically uses either carton labels or RF-assisted pick tickets to provide the carton ID and shipment order information. These types of RF-assisted picking are available:
- Paper Pick.
Use Paper Pick to confirm the details of the pick such as the item, location, license plate, and quantity.
- Search Picks.
This pick option is a cross between RF-assisted picking and task-directed picking. Use this option to search open picks by order number, item number, case ID, the pick from location, or the pick to location.
- Case ID.
Use this option to pick a full case or the same item or to quickly confirm multiple items were picked into a single case. This method does not require that you confirm the item number, quantity, or location for the pick; you confirm only the case ID that is picked.
This section defines RF-assisted picking and describes the different RF-assisted options available.
