Closing loads using an RF device

Before you confirm the shipment of a load, you can use a preliminary step to close the load. This action is performed at the same time the seal is recorded and the paperwork is printed.

  1. Access the RF device Main Menu.
  2. From the RF device Main menu, select Outbound Menu. The Outbound Mgmt (OBM) menu is displayed.
  3. Select Load Management. The Load Management (LDM) menu is displayed.
  4. Select Close Load. The Load Close (LC1) screen is displayed.
  5. Specify the load number, trailer number, or door to select the load to close. The Load Close (LC2) screen is displayed.
  6. Update the seal number and carrier ID for the load and press Enter. After you complete this screen, the Load is updated to closed status and the Load Close Time is updated with the current date and time. After the current door closes, you can assign another trailer to the door.
