Recurring Storage Billing
The recurring storage process will retrieve the inventory levels and create charges on a scheduled basis. Each billing lot code can be put on a separate schedule. The billing lot is defined as inventory that has the same:
- Facility
- owner (customer)
- item code
- lot code (unique combination of lottables in WM)
- user code 1, user code 2, and user code 3 (only applicable for WM Provia)
The free day feature can be set up to accrue recurring storage after the free day period is completed (and inventory is still in the warehouse). Usually, in this case, initial storage charges are not setup. After the free day period is completed and the first recurring storage period is accrued, the recurring schedule can continue from the end of the free day period or the schedule can revert back to be based off the initial receipt date as if the free day period was not given.
Date exceptions can be setup to defer billing on the weekends or on holidays if your contract requires this.
These schedules are supported:
- Daily: Every x number of days from the receipt date
- Weekly: Every x number of weeks from the receipt date or billing on specific days of the week.
- Monthly: Create charges on the same day of every x number of months based on the receipt date or to create charges on specific days of the month.
- Custom: Create a custom calendar by specifying the period ending dates.
The recurring storage charges can be accrued for:
- Inventory Quantities
- Inventory Weights
- Inventory Cubic Volume
