Generating the count records

Once the parameters have been specified for the count in the New Physical Control screen, the next step is to create physical count details based on current system inventory within the parameters. These count records are updated during the physical inventory process as the quantity information entered is entered from RF or the workstation for one or more of the count teams. A quantity must be entered for every Team A count record before the physical count can be posted and finalized.

To generate the count records:

Select WMS > Execution > Cycle Count > New Physical Control.
Click Search to display the list of records.
Select the applicable control number.
Click Actions > Build Count Records. The count records are created.

Note: The system checks if any orders are allocated within the specified range. Since the posting process does not allow for inventory to be allocated, you must unallocate any orders before the counts can be created. The unallocation process must be completed for that inventory before building the count records.
