Visual Inventory Overview

Visual inventory provides you with a three-dimensional representation of the warehouse. You can view a graphical display of the warehouse locations and additional visual information related to inventory, location attributes, and tasks.

You can switch the Visual Inventory page view between three display modes:

  • Task Frequency – Where is activity the highest?
    • The task frequency view colors locations based on the number of tasks. You can select if you want to view the currently active tasks or display a historical view indicating activity completed in the past specific number of days. You can also specify a subset of task types.
  • Task Age – Are there remaining older tasks?
    • The task age view assists you in finding old tasks that might require adjustment. You can specify the task type.
  • Inventory – Where is specific inventory located?
    • The inventory view provides you with a method to locate inventory based on a set of location and inventory criteria.

You can use the display modes to find locations and inventory. You can also drill into the locations for more detailed information.

You can perform these actions from the Visual Inventory page:

  • Put a location on hold
  • Put a license plate hold on one or more LPN records
  • Schedule a move for one or more pieces of inventory
  • Adjust inventory quantity
  • Start an internal transfer for an inventory record
  • Trigger a replenishment for a location
