Work adjustment overview
Use Work Adjustment to adjust the shift distribution of work. Use the adjustment factor to account for work that was added between the current time and the time the work is performed.
To create a work adjustment:
- From the Labor menu, select Planning > Work Adjustment.

Specify this information:
- Plan Date
- The date for the displayed labor plan. The available date range is a facility setting.
- Version
- The version of the labor plan for given date.
After you select the plan date and version, the system displays the plan information sorted by Task and Zone.
- Shift
- The time periods during which users are working.
- Duration
- The length of time this activity takes to complete.
- Planned Work
- The planned, or anticipated, daily work volume for the given activity and shift. Planned work is measured in number of units.
- Planned Units
- These are the units in which the work is measured. This is
taken from the activity configuration. The types of units include:
- Cases
- Tasks
- Pallets
- Users (for scheduled activity types)
- Shift Distribution
- The percentage of planned work a specific shift is expected to perform of a given activity. You can edit this field to adjust the shift distribution percent.
- Adjustment
- The number of units (+/-) to adjust the estimated work by
adding or subtracting to or from the estimated work. You can edit this field to
adjust the number of units.
The system saves changes you make to the Shift Distribution or Adjustment values for a specific zone, activity, or shift.
- Click Submit.
