Performing live loading
Live loading refers to the ability to directly load a license plate on a trailer as part of the pick process. Instead of staging the product in front of the door to be loaded later, the operator will place the license plate directly onto the trailer as part of the process when the license plate is moved to the dock.
Required Configuration
- To use the live loading feature, the system flag CompleteLoadTaskOnTripToDock must be ON. By default this flag is OFF. This flag determines if an open Load Task for the license plate being moved should be completed when the LPN is confirmed to the Door location.
Since this function is part of moving picked inventory to the dock area, no special steps are required. The completion of the load task depends on the above system flag and the move of a license plate following the pick to the correct door location. As this is completed by the operator a message will be displayed to confirm that the actual load task should be updated at this time.
