Charge Groups
Charge groups are assigned to charge code records to categorize the different types of charges generated by the Billing system. They are used for reporting purposes.
- Required?
- You must assign individual charge codes to charge groups. However, the system comes with a set of standard groups you can use. You only need to configure charge group records if these default groups do not meet your needs.
- Additional Information
- When you generate any reports against charges, the system organizes charge information based on charge groups.
Standard Charge Groups
The following standard charge groups are provided with the Billing system and do not require any additional configuration prior to use.
- HN = Handling
- ST = Storage
- LB = Warehouse Labor
- OF = Office Labor
- LD = Loading/Unloading
- RE = Recurring Storage
- MS = Miscellaneous
- FR = Freight
- Charge Group/Description
- The name and description that identify this group.
