Configuring locations for consolidated picking

You must create locations with the Speed Line location type to include the location in the selection list of locations.

  1. Select Configuration > Location. The Location screen is displayed.
  2. Click New.
  3. Specify this critical information:
    • Location
    • Location Type (must be Speed Line)
    • Zone
    • Lose ID

    The configuration for the Lose ID selection is critical based on the type of picking performed.

    • Lose ID = Checkbox selected (On)

      If traditional "hard" allocation is used for the items, the ID (license plate) must be removed when product is moved into the speed line location.

    • Lose ID = Checkbox cleared (Off)

      If dynamic "soft" allocation is used for the items, the ID (license plate) must be retained when the product is moved into the speed line location. Dynamic picking requires a license plate to complete the pick.

  4. Click Save to confirm changes.
