Enabling the EMP_FULLNAME field configuration in WFM

You must complete all steps in this procedure to fully implement the configuration for the EMP_FULLNAME field in the WFM application. These steps involve making the field visible in the WFM user interface and setting a registry parameter to enable the feature.

To enable the EMP_FULLNAME field in WFM:

  1. Select Maintenance > System Administration > Registry Maintenance.
  2. From the Registry Tree, select system > WORKBRAIN_PARAMETERS > OVERWRITE_EMP_FULLNAME.
  3. Click Edit and change the Variable Value to true.
  4. Click Save. See the Infor Workforce Management Registry Parameter Reference Guide for more information on registry parameters in WFM.
  5. Select Maintenance > Employees > Employee.
  6. Click Edit for one of your employees to view the Employee – Details page.
  7. For the EMP_FULLNAME field (Full Name), click the key icon and to alter the field level security for the field to give SYSTEM ADMINS edit access to the field.
  8. For Security Group, select SYSTEM ADMINS.
  9. For the Permission Flag, select Act. See the Infor Workforce Management Time and Attendance Implementation and Administration Guide for more information on field-level security.
  10. Click Save.
  11. Click the orange diamond icon next to the EMP_FULLNAME field.
  12. For the Required field, select Yes.
  13. For Field UI, change HiddenUI to StringUI.
  14. Click Save.
  15. Click the gear icon again to Turn OFF config mode.
  16. Select Maintenance > Employees > Employee Basic Information - Override.
  17. Select an employee and click Go.
  18. Repeat steps 7 to 16.
The employee’s full name is now a required field in the application when creating an employee in the WFM application or through an employee import.
