Creating custom posting statuses

Custom posting statuses can be created to support advanced workflows where the default statuses are not sufficient to meet customer requirements.

  1. Select Scheduling > Shift Billboard > Billboard Posting Status.
  2. Click Create New Entry.
  3. Specify this information:
    Posting Status Name
    Specify a name for the new posting status.
    Posting Status Description
    Optionally, specify a description for the posting status.
    Display Shift Posting
    Enable this check box to allow shifts associated with shift postings in this status to be claimed on the shift billboard. The billboard icon is also displayed on the shift in the scheduling screens. Clear this check box if shifts cannot be claimed if the associated shift post is in this status.
    Lock Shift
    Enable this check box to lock shifts associated with shift postings in this status. The billboard icon is also displayed on the shift in the scheduling screens. Clear this check box if shifts are not locked if the associated shift post is in this status.
  4. Click Save.
The custom posting status is saved. Workflows must be customized to make use of the new posting status.
