Partial shift posting

Employees may post an entire shift or a part of a shift. Employees can post a portion of a shift by selecting a time range within the original time of the shift. Posting a partial shift leaves the remainder of the shift in the posting employee's schedule. Only one part of the same shift can be posted to the billboard. Before another part of the same shift can be posted, the first part must be withdrawn or successfully claimed by another employee.

Partial shift posting can be disabled to only allow employees to post entire shifts. Disabling partial shift posting is done by configuring the Start Time and End Time fields in the Post a shift pop-up in mobility to the View permission setting. This makes these fields read-only, so employees posting a shift cannot select a different time range than the original shift times.

These fields in the MOB_SCHEDULE maintenance form can be configured to disable or enable partial shift posting:
  • FIELD_MYSCHEDULE_TAB_MYSCHEDULE_POST_SHIFT_START_TIME controls the Start Time field.
  • FIELD_MYSCHEDULE_TAB_MYSCHEDULE_POST_SHIFT_END_TIME controls the End Time field.

For details on setting permission settings for mobility fields, see "Security Permissions" in the Infor Workforce Management Mobility Administration Guide.
