Input Validation for special characters

Input Validation blocks specified special characters by defining security validation rules to block users from importing and entering these special characters. As of WFM version 6.2.2, Input Validation is turned ON by default for all upgrades. In previous releases, it was turned OFF by default. If you have already enabled Input Validation before the upgrade, there is no impact on your deployment.

This has implications for the existing data in your system and for importing new data into WFM from other systems. Since the validation is now turned ON by default for upgrades, you will have to determine how to configure WFM to suit your needs.

If you encounter issues with this change, you will need to configure Input Validation rules to handle any of the illegal characters that are already in your data.

For more information on securing the WFM application using Input Validation rules, see Infor Workforce Management Installation and Configuration Guide.
