Usability

In 4.1, a new look and feel was created for the Workbrain application.

A “Clear” hyperlink has been added to the search criteria row. Click the “Clear” hyperlink to clear the existing search criteria and re-display the entire list of records.

The data in all Workbrain DBLookups can now be sorted in ascending or descending order by clicking on the appropriate column heading.

All Workbrain pop-up windows contain a button in the upper-right hand corner to close the pop-up.

Editable Workbrain fields (fields in which users can type text) are outlined in blue while non-editable fields are outlined in gray. Even though a non-editable field means that users cannot type text into the box, they can still enter data into the field via its associated button (e.g., Lookup, Date Picker, etc.).

Lookup pop-up windows now contain customized titles. For example, the Shift Pattern lookup popup window is now titled Lookup Shift Pattern. Likewise, the Pay Group lookup pop-up window is now titled Lookup Pay Group. These titles can be customized via Config Mode.

A hyperlink, titled “Return to form listing”, enables users to click to return to the summary list mode of the current detail screen.

If a user only has permission to view his or her own timesheets, the Teams and Sub Teams check boxes are hidden from view and the Employee field displays the name of the logged in user.

Month and year drop-down selectors have been added to the Date Picker pop-up calendar enabling users to quickly skip to the desired month/year.

The Workbrain action buttons (e.g., Prev, Next, Find, and so on) will always appear in the same place on the screen regardless of where the user scrolls. Likewise, the search bar of the form listing panel (the bar that contains the “Find” button and “Clear” link) will always appear at the top of the screen, even as the user scrolls down the list of records.

The Header bar icons have been replaced with the Workbrain Options drop-down menu, which contains a list of the following Workbrain navigation options: Turn ON config mode/Turn OFF config mode, Hide the table of content/Show Table of Contents, Go to Home Page, Make this my home page, and Add to Favorites.

A Related Links hyperlink has been added to reference to other areas of the application with similar or related functionality. When multiple panels exist within a screen, sub-panel links will appear just below title name of the parent (first) panel. Click the sub-panel link to jump directly to the intended panel. This reduces the amount of scrolling required when in search of a specific sub-panel.

When the same page is reloaded after the user submits the page, the page automatically scrolls back to the section that the user was viewing. This prevents the user from having to scroll every time the page is refreshed.
