Weekly Overtime Plus Rule

In the Weekly Overtime Plus Rule, two additional overtime period ranges were added to the rule: Explicit Days and Shift Pattern. When using the Explicit Days option, overtime is calculated based on a set start date and explicit number of days from the start date. The start date is moved forward or reset at the end of the calculation period. When using the Shift Pattern option, overtime is calculated based on the employee's shift pattern.

In addition, a new parameter named Deduct Breaks from Schedule Duration was added to optionally exclude break minutes from the schedule duration. By default, breaks are included in the schedule duration, but you can configure the new parameter to exclude unpaid breaks or all breaks from the schedule duration the rule uses in its calculations.

A new parameter named Calculate Rate was also added to determine the hour type multiplier that is used to calculate the premium rate. By default, when the Apply overtime as a premium option is selected, the premium rate is calculated as the employee base rate multiplied by the hour type multiplier of the first EDLA record. To calculate the premium rate using the premium hour type multiplier, select the Calculate Rate check box in the rule configuration.
