Associated jobs in MVS

A job can be configured to have one or more associated jobs that are treated as equivalent jobs for scheduling purposes. Associated jobs are useful when the employee import process assigns job titles from the HR system that may not directly match the functional position that you want to schedule.

Job qualification validations in MVS have been updated to accept any associated job as an equal qualification for any other job in the same set of associated jobs. Job qualifications are replaced on shifts when an assigned employee does not possess the exact job on the shift, but has one of the jobs from the same set of associated jobs. Upon assignment, the shift job is updated to the job possessed by the assigned employee.
