Central Staffing

A new Central Staffing screen has been created to provide a high-level view of schedules for any period in time up to 24 hours. Users can open the schedule for multiple units, including units that may work in different locations or facilities, in the Schedule Zone. Selection criteria can be used to refine the schedule selected based on units, shift qualifications, individual employees, or other criteria. Presets can be saved so users can load the schedule using the saved criteria each time they use the application.

The schedule is organized in shift cards for assigned and unassigned shifts. Shift cards display summary information for each shift, and additional details on the shift or assigned employee can be displayed by hovering over a shift card. Shift cards can be dragged to float employees between shifts to provide coverage where it is needed most. Employees from a designated float pool unit can be floated to unassigned shifts in the Schedule Zone. Any employee in the Schedule Zone can be floated to an unassigned shift to adjust their scheduled work time or to provide coverage for different units or jobs.

Coverage details and key performance indicators are displayed to track how well each unit is hitting their productivity metrics and staffing targets. Users can display staff coverage, as determined by the workload requirements generated from Staffing Requirements Templates or imported from Infor Care Workload. Census details for each unit can be populated using an integration with Infor Care. The Budgeted Hours Per Patient Day maintenance form allows users to enter Budgeted HPPD numbers for each unit. Once the census and budgeted HPPD are populated, KPIs for HPPD and productivity are displayed based on the number of working hours in the currently loaded schedule.

Note: In Release 7.0.0, Central Staffing is a limited release feature. The Central Staffing screen is hidden from users by default. System administrators can enable this feature by updating security group permissions in the configuration for the Central Staffing maintenance form. This feature is under active development and additional functionality will be added in future releases.
