Publish Notification Feature

When publishing, you can optionally notify employees of schedule changes using Workmail. Upon publish, you can:

  • Notify all employees of the schedule changes
  • Notify only those employees affected by the changes
  • Not send any notifications

You can configure whether or not the user can choose the type of notification sent to employees when a schedule is published using the CHECK_NOTIFICATION_TYPE parameter in the registry. If not, the user will not be prompted with notification options and the default notification (specified by the DEFAULT_NOTIFICATION_TYPE parameter) will be sent. With this feature, you can also embed the schedule for the schedule period within the body of the e-mail. Using the EMAILFIELDNAMELIST parameter, you can control which columns of data are displayed, and in which order.
