Manual Assignments

Unforeseen scheduling changes are inevitable. Employees cannot work due to personal or work-related circumstances, such as vacation, illness, or training. This results in an imbalanced schedule, where shifts are unstaffed, employees are unassigned, or employees are assigned to shifts that they cannot work due to extenuating circumstances.

Due to these situations, supervisors must adjust the schedule to reflect such changes. Aside from auto-assigning employees to unstaffed shifts, supervisors can also manually assign employees to unstaffed shifts to address scheduling imbalances. The employee then has more control over who works when and how many hours each employee works over a schedule period.

You can manually assign an employee to an entire unstaffed shift or a portion of an unstaffed shift.
